Anyone with medical expenses - from routine care to major treatment, at any income level.
DHHS grants support medical costs that insurance or savings have not fully covered - hospital stays, ongoing treatment, prescriptions, specialist visits, and recovery. Describe the care, what remains unpaid, and how a one-time grant would be used. Selected awards are grants, not medical loans. You do not repay a DHHS award.
DHHS grant programs are not loans. If you are selected, you do not repay the award. Applying does not guarantee funds. Write plainly. Completeness matters more than perfect wording.
